Dr Dhwni Shahanand

With over 12 years of experience in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery as a consultant with special interests in phacoemulsification, LASIK, PRK, keratoconus management, corneal transplantation especially lamellar corneal surgeries, Ocular trauma, Corneal infections,  dry eye, allergic eye management, keratoconus management, Ocular Surface reconstruction.

She has completed her medical education from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha, followed by post graduation – Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Ophthalmology from P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai and long term fellowship in Cornea and Refractive surgery at Centre for Cornea, Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad. Following which she went on for her Corneoplasty observership at Queen Victoria Hospital, UK and Ocular Surface observership at LVPEI, Hyderabad. She’s also an active member of various state and national ophthalmological societies.

She has been a teaching faculty for DNB Ophthalmology in past and has presentations and wet lab training experience at various presentations at National and International conferences and been a trainer for various lamellar surgery courses.
